Dancing for a Cause: Greet the Dawn’s Charity Gala on 4-27-2024!

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Team Rockin’ strapped on their cowboy boots and gathered up their hats for a remarkable cause! Greet the Dawn‘s Western-themed charity event at Renaissance Allentown radiated with the spirit of community.

This wonderful organization began in 2022, founded by the family of Pamela Dawn. Pam passed away from colon cancer in 2021, and since her passing, her family’s goal has been to enrich and empower families affected by cancer. They have raised funds and supported families affected by cancer through scholarships, advocacy, awareness, and prevention programs.

To celebrate their success and efforts, Greet the Dawn threw a Western gala like no other! In true country spirit, our Rockin’ line dancer expert guided the crowd through classic line dances. Donning their finest leather and fringe, guests moved their feet and danced the night away for the families that Greet the Dawn supports!

In the midst of the festivities, a truly remarkable moment unfolded. Pat, Pam’s husband, and Ty, Pam’s son, graciously made a $10,000 donation to the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in memory of Pam. Such a generous act truly demonstrated their organization’s unwavering commitment to their mission of giving!

This event was a smashing success! $28,250 was raised in donations, all of which will be utilized for scholarships, meals and gift cards for families affected by cancer, appreciation lunches to nurses and volunteers, and support for children’s cancer hospitals.

As everyone hung up their hats and kicked off their boots at the end of the night, you could feel the power of resilience and community in the air. Together, we danced, laughed, and most importantly, made a difference.
