The Promenade Shops Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on November 18, 2023

‘Tis the season to be jolly, and we at Rockin’ Ramaley are still chock-full of excitement from The Promenade Shops Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 18, 2023! The night was absolutely unforgettable, filled with joy, laughter, and that certain magic that only the holiday season can provide.

The evening kicked off with a spectacle that warmed the hearts of all: Santa Claus himself made a grand entrance on an Upper Saucon Fire Rescue firetruck! The sirens blaring, the lights flashing, and the anticipation in the air perfectly set the tone for the night. One couldn’t help but cheer and smile as the man in red stepped out, ready to spread holiday cheer to all of the good little boys and girls.

This amazing event truly set itself apart from the rest through the incorporation of numerous local vocal groups. Southern Lehigh High School Choir kicked the night off with some classic holiday tunes as well as some other concert features. Then, the crowd couldn’t help but let out an adoring “awww” as the toddlers from Move N Play came out to melt our hearts by dancing and singing along to Christmas songs. Take a peek into the gallery below to see their adorable reindeer antlers and jingle bells! Faith Christian Academy and In2YouArts both came out to join in the fun as well.

As the choirs began to depart, our musical entertainment for the evening was only just beginning. Laura Williams, who received a four-chair turn on season 24 of The Voice, serenaded the audience with lots of holiday classics, including the famous “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. Laura was nothing short of incredible, and she shone as bright as our Starlite Dance Floor on Saturday night!

However, all good things must come to an end, and as Laura closed out her set, Santa made his way back out to the dance floor. All of the anticipation of the night had led up to this moment, and with one last countdown of “3…2…1…” the tree lit up in glorious fashion! The best part by far was the fake snow, which fell onto the dance floor and into the crowd. “You didn’t think it was going to snow tonight, did you?” Santa asked the children in the front row.

Now that all live performances were complete, the night began to wind down. But some youngsters still wanted to party! Rockin’ Ramaley kept the beats going for the kids right up until closing time, complete with dance floor lighting, continued use of snow machines, and lots of photos.
